Add Sexual Orientation and Stir

In February 2011, the University of Alaska Board of Regents voted to amend its non-discrimination clause to include a prohibition against discrimination based on sexual orientation. What does this mean and what happens now? Join in the discussion facilitated by Sine Anahita and Sean Parson on October 11th from 1pm until 2pm in 306 Gruening Building UAF campus. This brown bag discussion in sponsored by Women's and Gender Studies, the UAF Women's Center and the UAF Faculty Senate Committee on the Status of Women.

Do you like to dance, or, would you like to learn to dance? Then join the UWA and the Contra Borealis Dancers for a free Contra Dance! The dance will take place October 8th starting at 7pm in the Carol Brown Ballroom in the UAF Wood Center. No Experience Necessary! All dances will be taught. Beginners are encouraged to check out this fun and FREE activity!

UAF Winter Warm-up

Do you have any extra clothing, sports gear or small household appliances that you don't need, but that might be useful to others? Bring such items to the UAF Winter Warm-up. 

Drop-off items on Saturday, October 1st from 9 to 11am. Students will be there to pick-up FREE items they need from 11am to 1pm that same day. 

This is a great way to help out students who were not able to bring needed items from home. 

Clean out your drawers, closets, and storage areas. Warm UAF this winter with your donations to Winter Warm-Up! Clothing, household goods, sporting equipment, all will be greatly appreciated!
