- The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is the nation's leading voice promoting equity and education for women and girls
- The Fairbanks Branch of AAUW has been here, in Fairbanks, working for equity and education since 1936
- The membership brunch features a presentation about AAUW, a casual potluck, and a drawing for prizes
UAF Women's Center is a University Member of AAUW, which means
- Free e-student affiliate memberships for all undergraduates/community college students enrolled at UAF
- Priority for educational project grants and leadership development opportunities for students
- Advocacy for federal public policy that supports education
- Access to AAUW student internships in Washington D.C.
